RGF Technical Services use the latest in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to produce detailed drawings in 2D and 3D.

The choice to use 2D or 3D on any particular project will be made based upon the requirements, the level of detail required, client's desires and compatability with other systems used in the project.

3D has tremendous advantages when it comes to presenting an idea to a client. It enables easy visualisation of a design and clearances between components. A mechanical design can even be set in motion on screen to check that it performs the task it is intended to.

2D enables quick answers to simple questions, and for some applications its simplicity is preferable.

RGF Technical Services utilise CAD skills as part of the engineering design process, but can also carry out paper-to-CAD conversion and drafting of other peoples ideas.
